Some back ground facts:
Kevin Gilbert is most famous for bringing girlfiend Cheryl Crowe to the tuesday night music club gig. Contributing heavily to her 1 CD and being dumped when succes came along
He released 2 CD under his own name "Thud" and rock opera "Shaming of the true" Both REALLY worth checking out.
Multi instumentalist sporting bass in a really nice way, but also keyboards, drums, guitar, producing, singing, writing extremely well penned songs and some funny, haunting, sad lyrics
He died in 1996, 29 years old. He was one of the hottest candidates to fill the shoes in Genesis after the departure of Phil Collins
The clips is from "Shaming of the true" witch was put together in 2000 from mostly demos. So sometimes it sounds a little bit dated. But the tone from his sunburst Stingray is
Give it a listen!
