Just wondering if anyone has tried other P90 pickups in their MM guitars. Do they fit into the MM P90 cavity? Can you retain the "silent circuit" feature when using 3rd party P90s?

I have an Axis SuperSport with P90s, and think they work pretty well. Most P90 pickups are "unforgiving" in that they reveal my playing flaws more than single coil and humbucker pickups. Consequently, I may try other pickups in the future (I like to experiment) but don't want to lose the "slient circuit" feature. I've swapped out stock Gibson P90s in a Les Paul Special with Semour Duncan Antiquity P90s, and there was a dramatic improvment in sound. Any comments on 3rd party P90s?
