I had the chance to play an Armada this past weekend which got me thinking... I would love a bass version of it. Neck-through, figured top and Mahogany. Sounds like a winner in my book. I realize the slim chance but figured I would throw it out and see. JOSH

You never know what EBMM has coming up. There was a wish for the AL bass and it happened. It could happen....right? right?

It's an interesting look, but, as a single-cutaway instrument, it's gonna be heavy.

Most of the MM guitars weigh under seven pounds, whereas the Armada is eight. By the time you put on a beefy 34"-scale bass neck and enlarge the body, I suspect we'd be at twelve pounds...

I figure the upper cutaway removes a bit more than a pound of wood and helps the instrument's balance.

Disclaimer: This is all guesswork!

Not my cup of tea, but neither was the Bongo, and now it's my favorite bass of all time.

I like the fact that there is no Bongo guitar. With the Armada, I also kind of like the fact it is only a guitar but if an Armada bass was made, that may intrigue me and change my mind so who knows?

I thought it was very greatly hinted at when they were just dropping the guitar, they also said the Armada was so revolutionary it would not be sold as a music man.. The big al is the most amazing instrument I've ever played, SSS or h they are both insane. Now make an Armada Bass with Hhh pickups I'd buy it. glitter Purple edges trans white triangle. I'd just hope the neck feels like a big al or a sterling. And still a 34" scale
A boy can wish right? I'm still waiting for the Amythyst Special Purple sparkle select series hopefully coming out after the run or Cardinal Red. Red is cool, and my nickname in Red Fury, but red glitter doesn't turn me on. The green is awesome, and the purple will make my year if I survive long enough to see it.
