Hi folks
I took the bridge assembly on my Luke II apart today so I could clean all the crud and corrosion off the saddles- when I discovered a strange thing...
There is only one screw holding the bridge plate to the trem block!!! Im guessing this isn't normal? Can any other Luke users comment?
My Silhouette Special has the full compliment of 3 screws. I hadnt noticed before- I've never had to make any adjustments to the bridge and you cant see the screws in question easily as the saddles are in the way. I've always noticed quite a difference in the tone and responsiveness between the two guitars and I'm assuming this will explain the dull tone of the Luke.
I got the guitar as an ex-demo model at a reduced price... but I didnt expect two years down the line to find parts were missing!!
I've heard of people stealing control knobs and trem arm tips from guitars in shops, but not bridge parts...
Can you check your Lukes, as I'm sure there should be three.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS- anyone tried Titanium saddles?
