I've had a hum from hell in my 20-th silo in the neck. It is a very beautiful, low output pickup, dark, but not muddy. Worked pretty well in the split coil with the Steve's Special as well.

However, when compared with the original PAF classic that was in that guitar, it still is more sterile and has a bit less character. It could be a bit different on a basswood body, but that's the general impression I had.

thanks for the info man! Im ordering mine today. and if it doesnt work out i suppose ill just pick myself up a silhouette HSS and toss in a cruiser at the neck. :D
