Musicman SR5, ceramic and alnico pickups differing in shape?

People,

I am getting a (alledgedly) 2007 SR5.
This would mean that it still has the ceramic pickups.
But it has the modern pickup shape, where the screws are screwed in ear-like pieces on the side of the pickup, much like the SR4 I have now.

Basically I'm doubting the dob of the bass, because the alnico's were introduced in 2008, or so I've read!
Were the pickup shapes altered in/before 2007, whilst still being ceramic?
I'd think the pickup shape would change with the switch to alnico...

Not a deal-breaker, just curious since I generally prefer the sound of the ceramics!

Why not check the s/n against the
bass s/n database in the stickies ?

I did- didn't think they could give such detailed info. It's a ceramic pickup (thank god) -this thread can be closed.
