I just bought a Musicman Stingray Classic at G.C.

I just got back from the G.C. in Nashua NH and they had 2 Stingray classics. One in white with a maple board and one in green with a maple board. The one thing that I noticed is that they didn't have the high gloss finished necks and fingerboards on them. What is up with that? Is the high gloss finish an option or is this the way they are going to be? An inquiring mind would like to know.

Update I just bought it. Check out pics below.

There was only one run of standard necks. Everything shipped from now on will be finished necks "deluxe".

Cool. I like the finished necks. So I think I will wait to get one with it. But it the basses I played there without the finish on them felt great. Looked great. And didn't weight a lot. I didn't get a chance to plug it in to an amp but I am will next time I am in. I really liked the white one.

Changed my mind see below.

I guess those won't be available in Europe.... so, David, if you want to sell this one, shoot me a PM, please.

Looks great...................

Enjoy the bass, I don't think my local GC will probably get those in? In many ways, I actually prefer the satin finished necks................Smooooth!

Fantastic looking bass... I have yet to see them pop in at the local GC's. Although one of the sales guys mentioned they'd just had a webinar on it the previous weekend.

Awesome bass. That is my next one. I am torn now when you tell me the neck is unfinished. That is my personal preference, but I would rather give TPB my order so I guess it is finished for me too.
