Hi, i have a couple of questions about calibr, how far from the neck should the strings be for a good funk sound?? musicmans are suppose to have a high action on the strings?? also how low are the pickups suppose to be?? Where can i buy a musicman nut and pickup??? original. Anybody out there please write back.

See the FAQ on ernieball.com - there's a whole thing on setting up the bass. Set it up like that and you're good for any style! They are not supposed to have high action unless you like it that way - good thing the bridge is adjustable, no? Music Man nut? Unless you want a compensated nut, any decent repair guy can cut you one. Pickup? Ebay. I don't think EB/MM sells pups, so you may have to go aftermarket. Where's the original?

yup as he said the faq at: http://www.ernieball.com/faq_content.php?subjectcode=mm_basses has factory setup & pickup height specs on it.

as far as buying an original pickup - you cannot buy one from music man. youre only/best bet is to find one used on ebay or somewhere else

you can however buy a nut from music man. have your local MM dealer order one for you
