I've been waiting with a glimmer of hope for new availability of purple Music Man basses for a long while now. A purple Sterling 5. Mmmmm.

There is a 2nd hand StingRay5 purple for sale in my local shop single H mother of P pickguard and white pickup model 2003 maple neck/fingerboard and she is sexy!

sadly that is not local to you as I am in London E-NG-LAND but if you are that desperate, I can ask them for the price and report to you. I am sure they will be prepared to send it anywhere provided you are willing to pay international shipping.

No way, mate. I took a cab ride from Chitterne, Wiltshire to High Wycombe to Gatwick once, and I had to take out a second mortgage on my mule barn to pay for it. I'll wait for the new purple!

I just tested a used Sterling in purple at a local L&M shop. Trying to decide if I should pull the trigger. More of a Ray guy but it sounded GREAT and had the bird's eye-iest neck I have ever seen. Not sure of the year but it was full on purple with white PG and bird's eye maple fret board.

I was thinking a pickguard change would be in order though...
