I got a brand new MVP active volume pedal a few months back. I primarily play acoustic, direct through a small series of effects (tuner, delay, chorus, phaser, looper). I set up my chain with the volume first in line - a useful way for me to kill my signal during gigs but also to capture the volume swell effect as it passes through the other pedals. Both the acoustic and electric that I’m playing through this chain have active electronics. From the first time I plugged in, I’m hearing a distinct distortion on the signal. To be clear, this is not any kind of pleasing overdrive or distortion that could be mistaken for anything intentional. It sounds a lot like when the battery in my guitar is getting low — muddy and distorted. Checked batteries and everything is good. I’ve tried the MVP with an adapter as well as a 9v. Any thoughts?
