Full humbuckers.
Although it doesn't sound like it at times.
Would have liked to have used my Axis though I have that coil tapped so woulda sounded even better. The ASS has more balls though for some reason at moment. Could be the gauge 10 elixirs ive got on it.

Ye if you spend a bit of time you can get some great tones.

Nice....I have the X3 Live...you can get some really nice tones out of those.

Ye man its like anything, before I bought the POD I had a Korg AX1000G and I had it for years and years. I always liked the Korg REMS amp modelling. Over time I had got some great sounds out that and had really learned out to use it. One day however I came back from staying with my girlfriend at the time and it wasn't working right any more. For a long time I had been pondering over a POD, think it may have started with the PODXT but I really felt it wasn't needed because I had the Korg and was happy. However once it started playing up I decided to treat myself to an early xmas present and bought X3 and a Shure SM58. Although pity I didn't have the extra cash at the time and bought the live - although I do like having it just situated on my desk rather than on floor. Miss having floor control over some effects but that can be easily sorted with floor controller at some point. Depends on effect I need though I have a crybaby and a bad horsie around for whenever I feel need to indulge in wah but that doesn't happen very often - I'm not the biggest fan of wah. I really miss volume pedal though, but I can always stick one of them in the path as well. Although I don't know but it would be cool to control the effect depths with a pedal. I might have a look into the floorboard sometime.

I use the X3 all the time at home, I never use my amps at all. They just gather dust. Problem is I get used to changing sounds at flick of a switch and how versatile it can be. If i start gigging regularly I am going to have to rethink my amp setup. I've never tried a Vetta maybe that would be what I'm looking for. I tried the Bogner Spider but its not as feature laden as its siblings. A Bogner Vetta could be sweet though! I've never played one though so it could be sweet already.

As for the sounds, its same with every effects unit. The pre-sets tend to be ****. I've got a friend with an X3 Live and I'm pretty sure he just uses the pre-sets, people like that scare me. Half an hour when I bought it fiddling with what amp models etc sounded good and your set. Some common sense definetly helps as well as well as some background on the sound you are trying to achieve but ultimately your ear is your best friend.
