I need to have the output jack replaced. Cables are not seating snugly and the connection cuts in and out. I took the assembly apart and it looks really straight foward. Any suggestions for a good high quality replacement part?

BTW the gtr is dual hums. No piezo, no silent circuit.

It's a pretty simple mono jack. Are you sure it's done? Have a look at the assembly when your cord is plugged it- you might just need to re-solder the leads to the jack (if they're loose or shorting out) or bend the metal connector on the jack so it presses against the cord more firmly.

If you need a new one just go to your local store and see what they have. I have a bag of switchcraft jacks I use when I need replacements, pretty cheap.

Hello folks,

I'm having troubles replacing my output jack too.

Mine is also an Axis Sport but with 2 P-90 and the Silent Circuit.

I tried to compare with my Silho or Petrucci but it's not the same wiring.

Could you help me out?

I've bought switchcrafts (1 stereo and 1 mono to be sure).

Thanks all!

you guys can email customer service and ask for a wiring diagram. they'll shoot one off to you. Shouldn't be too complicated... its either 2 or 3 quick solder points depending on the jack.

[email protected] is where you can contact someone and ask for the witing diagrams

good luck

Thanks to both of you for being so quick!

shredderbetter : Sadly, these are the same as used on most EBMM (Silho, SuperSport, Petrucci...) but not on the Axis Sport (weird plastic enclosed one).

phatduckk : You're absolutely right. I should have started there.

Will keep you posted.
