hi forumites,

a few weeks ago i´ve seen a EVH popping up at ebay.de.
i always wanted to have a second EVH since the day i got my first one. it was a bit expensive i thought, but i was watching it. nobody bid on it. it popped up again with the price dropped and again nobody bought it. at the 3rd time the price was dropped again a bit and i really begun to think about it. after a few nights my desicion was: trade it for the JP06LE (sorry danny) plus some extra money for me. a few emails later the deal was done.
so i picked it up last sunday and now i got a "new" baby here.
it is a red flametop EVH which plays like a dream - have you ever played a ball which doesn´t ;)
now i have two EVHs and i was very happy. soon i posted the serial number here at the forum and Dan told me that the red flametop was completed on the 24th of December 1991.

i was like: WHAT????? Dan must be joking!
my black quilttop EVH, which i own since 1995 or so was built right on this date!
i couldn´t belive it, so Dan checked both serialnumbers again and YES!
my two EVHs are real twins! both guitars were finished on the 24th of December 1991 - isn´t that a crazy. :D
now i know why it didn´t sell on the bay to someone else - this guitar was waiting for me! :)

i know:
no picture - no guitar - so here they are:
(i´ll take a few more the next days)

Joe,
Very cool story... Nice twins.

Your new one looks a lot like the one I used to have with the angled flames.

That is incredible.. what are the odds? They were both finished just in time for the man in the sled to swing by SLO and deliver them to someone for Christmas! ;)
