How was he being harsh? He was way more chill about it than I would have been. He's right, that's A LOT of money for a guitar, and a pretty BIG mistake to get past quality control. I would've expected better.
You're trying to make him out to be the bad guy all because he expected his guitar to come to him in perfect working condition? That's really sad and you need to learn that EBMM isn't infallible.
you're right Ernie Ball needs to be perfect and things like a faulty switch is just not good enough. although I don't know how I was making anyone to be the bad guy...

You're right about this. That's a lot of money for a guitar and one would expect it to be perfect when it arrives. EBMM makes mistakes every once in a while, but they are few and far between. That's why we've come to expect perfection from them. It's easy to forget they're not infallible.

Yes, Ernie Ball needs to be perfect, but the faulty switch may not have been their fault. Could have tested fine at the factory and gone bad after it left. We will never know and that's ok. The good thing here is EBMM fixed it for him and made it right.

whoa, i can't even tell where the sarcasm ends or begins anymore.

but in any case, several facts have been established:

- the switch was faulty.
- the switch is being fixed.
- the guitar was expensive.
- people ***ch when unexpected things happen.
- people ***ch alot more when unexpected things happen while they were expecting something else.
- EBMM ain't perfect, but they keep working at it.

and several possibilities have also risen:

- Q&A made a mistake
- UPS should be named OOPS for ****ing another knucklehead
