My birthday present from Diablo

Don’t scroll down yet. I need to set this story up before you scroll down to see the pics of my two new models from Dubaldo’s Diablo Blue exclusive run.
I had preordered the semi hollow Axis the day I heard Pete was working on a special order. After a bit I added a JP15 to my order because I’ve been working a ton of OT and had the scratch.
After receiving some teaser pics I mentioned to Mr Diablo that my birthday was coming up and it’d be nice if Music Man finished these in time.
I should mention I’m currently working a string of straight OT nights.
I wake up today, my birthday. My wife mentions nothing about any packages. I step into the man cave and what do I find?
A big surprise:

The pics do not do these guitars justice. The shade of blue paint Pete picked out for the body color is much deeper/richer looking in person and perfectly matches the blue stain on the front and the rosewood of the neck.

After tapping around the top of my new semi hollow, I had to grab a flashlight and look around thru the M hole.
I never realized how "hollow" these semi hollow Axis models are.

2) I rarely feel jealous/envious about anything, BUT... I'd love to have one of those semi Axis in that finish!
I have a "boring" black one (where's Magic J...???) and it's a fabulous gittar.
