My SS finally came in yesterday!!! As some of you may remember, it was the purple SS that was on eBay last week. All I can say is....IT"S AWESOME!!! The thing plays and sounds great!!! I have been an Ibanez man for about 17 years now. This is the first 22 fret, non-Floyd guitar that I have ever owned. Needless to say, most of the other guitars in my sig are gonna be for sale! I never thought that I'd play anything other than an Ibanez.....boy was I wrong! Next will be a JP (as soon as I figure out what color to get) and then a 24 fret Silo. I might as well get a Bongo to replace my MTD bass. The only things I need to do to the SS is set it up (the G & B strings choke out when I do a big bend at the 17th fret), check out the input jack (it seems to short out when I wiggle the cable sometimes) and touch up the chip in the paint on the upper horn. Right now I consider the chip a beauty mark...hehe.

I would like the the DOB on my SS--the serial number is: G02862

Also, does anyone know what the exact name of the purple color that was used?

I'll quit rambling now....I need to go play some more.......

Glad to see you've come around to our way of thinking. Don't think of it as losing 17 years of your guitar playing life. think of it as now you've got the rest of your life to play better! :)
