My first EBMM: Loaded JP6 White Pearl

Hey Guys,

Here's to my first Music Man dream guitar, the JP6! And to my first post on the forums (I hope I'm doing it right)

Benji over at Glory Days Rock Shop in Joplin, MO gave me a killer deal on a brand new fully loaded JP6 in White Pearl and it just arrived at my door. I have been eying the guitar for years but have never been able to afford it. Let me know what you guys think of it! It is amazing and sounds great through my Boogie Mk V.

I am also in a sort of dilemma. I have a big show tomorrow at the House of Blues San Diego and am torn between playing the JP6 (which I have not got that much practice with) or the Carvin I have had for years. Any input would be appreciated! I'm on the fence, wanted to see what other people would do.

Anyway, I'm excited for my new instrument and excited to join the EBMM family.

I would take both guitars, but I'd start with the new JP and keep the other as backup. I'll bet you won't switch over to your old one.

Break it in right ! House of Blues would be the perfect venue to shred that new JP. Show it off, use the Carvin as a backup.

I agree with the other posts, once you play that JP6, you may not pick up your other guitars. These babies are amazing!

I agree. JP6 is still my favorite too! I'm really enjoying a stealth JP6 at the moment. Sounds super snappy!

Thanks for the input guys! I ended up rolling the dice and playing the JP6 the whole night. It was amazing! Don't know if I'll ever go back to the Carvin now.
