Hi everyone,

I just wanna introduce myself because I'm now a part of your community - A EBMM Lover. And belive me, I never thought that I ever would owne a Heavy Metal Axe :D.

But from the Beginning:
I am a 46 years old guitarist from good old Germany playing in a Cover Band with styles from acoustic to Rock but no Heavy Metal stuff. Over the last 3 years a have had 30+ guitars - ever on the search for MY Guitar. I was very focused on classic styles like LesPauls and Strats and I prefered fat necks. But because of the various sounds I need I never was lucky with the stuff I owned. And than a few month ago a musician friend told about his EBMM Axis. So I went in the WWW and tried to find some things out. No bad storries, only good reviews etc. But the neck was much to small for me, I thought. Exactly the same time a guy 20km away from me sold his EBMM Axis USA (no sterling etc) translucent gold by ebay. I checked the normal prices and I found out it was a very good number (1090Euro - 1480USD) for Germany. Just clicked on the button and it was mine. I picked it up the next day and since that day it is my favorit. Actually I have 6 E-Guitars and I don't like to touch them since then.
The guitar is in near mint condition, looks beautyfull and sounds great.
Small neck??? - No way.
This neck is so, let me say, different. Never played a neck that feels like satain before. I couldn't belive, that I am able to play a "baby-neck" like this.
And the sound? A guitar build by EVH - no way. Just a shredder axe. - Forget it. After I was famliliar with the beauty I was so surprised how flexible she is. Yes ok, it is no LP, no Strat, no 335 or whatever, but it has it all. From Soft to Heavy - Beautyful. But you need to use the volume control - If you ever play full blown you never find out what's in this guitar.

So the storry ends. But I have some questions I come up later with. I hope to have the time to be here sometimes.

See you
Dieter

Hello, thanks for welcome me. So I did two quick shots of my first Axis. Don't like this kind of Quality but I need some days to do better ones.
Here it is. The better ones will follow.

Welcome Dieter and congrats on a great guitar. Yes it is no Les Paul, Strat or 335 and that is because it has an identity all its own. That is what drew me into EBMM guitars myself. Where as most companies not named Gibson or Fender try to build guitars similar to those that have been around 60 years, EB has taken a complete fresh approach the last 25 to build unique instruments that stand on there own merit.

Hi,

its not a joke - today I bought my second EBMM Axis. She has a translucent red quilt top. Can't wait to have her here.

Will post pics when she arrives. Then I have brother (honey blond) and sister (translucent red).

"They never walk alone"

see you
Dieter
