So this past Friday my friend invited me to go to a studio at his college. He studies film at NYU and is taking sight and souid class which gives him access to a recording studio. It is a pretty top notch studio with basically EVERYTHING you need to put a record together. He brought in one of his friends who studies film as well, but plays the drums pretty damn good. He said he hasnt played for a year or something, but he was pretty great, and also plays the keyboard. So we just jammed out for a WHILE just me and him. Complete improv all the way. We first tried a jazz piece that I came up with, but it was pretty complex and I think it was all offbeat most of the time. At least that's what my friend says after listening to it. I havent listened to any of the stuff yet, so I really dont know exactly, but I can tell you that it felt amazing. The other thing that we jammed was ALL improv, for like 15 minutes. Once I get the recordings from my friend will try and put it up here so you guys can hear me and my Silo in action. The Silo did AMAZINLGY well in the situation and cut through very nicely. And even my Line6 sounded pretty good at fairly high volumes. I definatly got the taste of it fully, rather tan playing at low volumes at my house or the ear phones. Anyway, just wanted to share, and sorry for not having clips yet, since that's what you guys probably wanted instead of me rambling  . Peace!

That's awesome! What a great feeling I'll bet.
I look forward to hearing the clips when you get them posted.

Yea man, it was one of the best feelings I have had for a long time. The jamming really made me do all the things that I have been practicing by myself for a long time, and it was just flowing freely. Also thanks to an AMAZING instrument I was able to play very comfortably and had complete control of any situation we were in at the time musically :D .

Ahh,

Nothing like jumping back into the hot-seat! Congrats, it sounds like you had a good time with it. Isn't it great when the guitar isn't holding you back? :)
