WOW WOW WOW WOW !

i'm so in love with my new guitar. I took the plunge and bought a second hand Luke from Colin.. photo's below (these are his shots - haven't had a chance to take any of my own yet).

I really love it. It's by far the most comfortable guitar i've ever played. I smile every time i take it out of the case. This is just the first - i'm certainly going to get another at some stage!

Woohoo! thanks so much Colin :)

You gotta try a BFR Luke now!

I know! Actually i was on the verge of getting one from a forumite but the exchange rate just killed me with the US dollar. That's when Colin offered me this std one. It will do until the dollar recovers :)

I love the colour too :)

Looks great Dave, I'm in the States at the moment hence the late reply. Thanks to all the Aussies for a great year with your support. And thanks to BP and the gang as well

Newbie Luke owner here as well! (and newbie forum member). I've only been playing for a year or so (been playing keys for over 25 years tho). My first gtr was a reissue 72' Tele (still have it), but I played a freinds Luke and fell in love. Snagged me a beautiful black one. DROOOOL.

dare I ask if ya'll have favorite strings?? Mine came with Blue Steel 09-42's on it. Feels fine to me...but..ignorance is bliss sometimes...

back to lurking and reading the new found forum :)

Hey Dave, just catching up on some old posts when I saw this. So you got the Luke! Congrats! Great colour too, the old Luke Blue.

Good to have another Luke in the City of Frankston!!!

hey david, yeah I friggin love it.

just picked it up from cargills tonight - jim did a full setup for me and also fitted a second hand EMG EXP circuit that he had lying around. Haven't had a chance to play with it much yet but sounded pretty hot when i had a quick test in the workshop. If i don't like the circuit he'll remove it and put the stock tone control back anyway.

also asked about fitting piezo saddles.. he said he can fit the graphtec saddles, and drill holes in the bridge for the cables so it will be completely invisable. Might think about doing that too!!

Sounds like a great mod!

Is your silo special getting any love now that you have the Luke?
