apologies... the circuit he fitted was an EMG-EXG. Still not sure if i like it or not- at home it's so hard to tell.. will see after rehearsals next week.
and no, the sil special has migrated to be the backup
now i'm completely fender free!
i'll keep the deluxe strat as i really like that guitar, but the tele is going.. Jim cargill said to bring it in there and he'll try and sell it for me as it's a nice and well sought after guitar.
