I'm on the verge of letting my MIA P-bass go in order to make room for a new bass. What bass? I'm not quite sure. I'm heavily leaning towards a MusicMan. I'm just not sure which. I'm eyeing a White Sparkle Sterling, several other Sterlings, possibly a Bongo, maybe another Stingray. I'm even considering buying this modified SUB that I know is for sale. I'm looking for something less flashy to offset the flashiness of my sparkle Ray, but I'm just not set on a finish or model. I'm thinking white would be a nice change, but I'm just not sure of anything.

Patrick! Don't be a fool, man! You're not thinking straight, dude! I mean, are you drunk or something? This is all just crazy talk!

Just kidding. Get the Bongo.

I can only keep my fingers crossed that he'll bite. I'd love to have that Sterling. But, then again, everything is tugging at me.

STERLING .... you know you want the 3 way pup switch ...

you already have a ray ....
i woulde personally consider the look of a Bongo "flashy" ... well, at the least its not traditional.

so ya ... its clear .. STERLING!!!

im all about the switch and i hate knobs ... thats just me. i cant be bothered about thinking "did i get the knob to "6" or "did i turn it too much and get to 4" or "oops wrong knob". the switch is easier for me to deal with. if there was an option to have no knobs id totally fot for it ... i just turn everything up all the way all the time ... unless im recording (so i guess theyre useful twice a year ;))

Should have thought about this before posting. If you don't buy a EBMM, you have your foot in the mouth.

:D :D :D :D

I owwwna Sterling... owwwna Bongo. The Sterling doesn't come out to play anymore.

A lot more bottom and versatility on the Bongo than the Sterling. At least the one with the dual Humbuckers. I can also get the Bongo to sound like a P or Jazz bass. Can't really do that with the other.

You guys are gonna think I'm stupid, but I've decided I'm going to stick with my Stingray and P-bass. A change of strings, and my happiness was renewed with my P-bass.
