I tell ya - I've been fighting an uphill battle with my band re: Wonderful Tonight... I am not a fan of the song but they love it. The wife loves it. Everybody loves it...

I held them off for as long as I could (over a year), but as we prep for an upcoming gig we're looking to add a few quick songs and all the guys know it already so I finally gave in...

I pop in the CD, pull out the charts, have a go at it... Easy enough to play... Hmmm - let's do this with the fretless Bongo...

Wow - am I loving they way she moans all the way through... :D

In my band days I hated playing the more popular songs in our repertoire (I was in my music snob stage). But in the end, it's all about what the crowd likes.

This is so true...

The clincher for me was at an out-door "concert in the park" function that I attended as sort-of a homework assignment for my band. I wanted to see how well attended these things were and what the crowd was looking for.

They played did Wonderful Tonight and suddenly there were all these couples dancing...
