 ....so, did you contact the place where you purchased it from? I am going to assume that you did (cause I would) and what did they tell you? BTW, what did you order and be specific......we love to hear about new EBMM's being made...

I would love to hear who told you a specific date. When was the order placed?

Fear not Steve.

It happens. 3 months is a best guess/approximation.

Some (including me) have waited 5-6 months because of wood deliveries, scheduling, holidays, etc.

I'm getting a Pearl Redburst JP with Piezo and matching headstock and I ordered it from guitar center and they said that Ernie Ball said it would be done on the date I said and they checked about 2 weeks ago and they said it was being buffered.

Steve,

Just hang in there. I just got my JP6 in Pearl Redburst w/all options. It took nearly 4 months, but it was worth every minute of the wait. Just keep hanging out here with dudes who can sympathize and the time will pass!

I never heard an exact date given when I ordered. Just a rough time frame of about 3 months. I don't believe that anyone at EBMM would ever give an exact date, they just can't do it. My guess is that someone at GC pulled that date out of their ass. And don't let them charge you extra for the hardshell case that comes with the guitar!

You should be seeing something soon if it was in the buffing stage. I got a call from Bassplayr who kept me informed as to what stage my new JP was in. Should see her tomorrow.....hopefully. Mine was ordered around the end of September. Go back to GC and find out what the deal is.....get on 'em about it. Yes, the case comes with it....don't let them BS you either.

I don't think they would BS me because my dad buys a high end guitar there about every four months so they kind of treat him "extra special"

I feel sorry for you dude - the waiting is the worst. I remember waiting for my EVH. I ordered it in March and was told it would be about 6 months. I sort of hoped that was an exaggeration... Unfortunately, they knew what they were talking about. I had ordered a purple flame top. In September, the distributor called and offered me a sunburst, which I turned down. On my birthday in October, I got a call and was convinced that was it - I called back and was offered a pink one- turned it down again. Finally in November, 7 1/2 months later, my baby arrived and it's been love ever since - it is worth the wait, but no-one could have told me that during those months

They B.S.ed him if they gave him an exact date that the guitar would be finished.

I agree.....Bassplayr DID NOT do that with me (He is a straight up super nice guy and great to deal with.....there is your plug yet again buddy!) ...he gave me the typical 3 to 4 month wait. Which, being around on the board for awhile I kinda knew would be the deal.....I feel for the guy being told something and it not happening though. I still would go to GC and find out any info they may have. Hope you get it soon. Believe me, the wait will be worth it.......just right now it bums ya out......

Steve,

It is frustrating to have your guitar delivery delayed. I've also had my Sunburst Morse order delayed (a little over 4 months now).

But going through the forums, I did manage to learn that the fault lies mostly with the dealer themselves.

Other than that, I am more than prepared to wait for some more time to get a quality guitar for my money.

I am sure that it will be worth the wait for us.

So happy waiting and best of luck.

Steve,

Try calling up EBMM Customer Support with regards to your guitar. Some of these dealers (like mine) have no idea what they are talking about. My dealer just told me that my guitar will only be delivered from EBMM on the 25th of this month.

I placed a call to EBMM Customer Support, was told that the guitar was already shipped on 6th and on it way to the dealer and got the tracking number from them (which I promptly let my dealer know). Excellent Service from EBMM indeed. Even responded within minutes after sending an email to them.

EBMM Customer Service rocks!!

Good luck, bud...
