I brought my new HH AL over to my luthier buddy's place to let him check it out. We decided to look under the pickguard and lo and behold it has 500K pots in it. Seems odd since the specs on the website indicate that it has 250K pots. I'm not complaining since i would have changed them to 500K pots anyway.
Have any other other HH AL owners experienced this?

I doubt people will open their brand new ALHH to check :p

I know Beej did it so you can still ask him, but I would double check with CS cause if you got 500k pot from the start that's sound a bit weird

Yes- I had totally forgotten about that! I replaced a pot in mine with a push/pull. 500k. I'll email Chewie about the web site.

Good catch man.

I always think it depends on the 'bucker ... the Morse has 250k, for example, and doesn't seem to sound right with 500ks. I have some Bill Lawrences that are like that too.

But yeah ... generally speaking I agree.

was that from the get go? My HH Al was built 12/1/09 so it is one of the early ones, if that makes a difference.

I was wondering if mine was an anomaly. It makes sense that they's all be 500k though. Thanks for the clairification.
