Sweet gear and very sweet basses, Micolao. ;)

That last one sure looks like a Hofner «Violin Bass». Is it italian made? And do you use it often?

Be well,

Ricardo.

Nice stuff. Hey, how do you like that chorus pedal? Someone suggested I get the regular guitar chorus pedal for the bass. I said, "Eh?"

yes the bass is an italian one frome the 60s, I don't know the brand.
I only use it at home at the moment, but it's a great sounding bass with a huge vintage sound, especially with the pick.
I had it for a few euros, if you're interested in hear it, here are some samples:
(I know it's the wrong forum :) sorry guys)

first neck pu then both, open tone (dead strings)
first few bars of "what's going on" marvin gaye (jamerson rulez)
a few clip during the record:rolleyes:

with the pick:

again, neck pu then both

about the chorus:

I like it, although the king of the board is the guyatone, the boss has the nice option of applying the chorus only to certain frequencies and I like to add the effect only on the highs leaving the basses clean, it also sounds great after the ODB, producing a huge sound

here's a sample of the 2 differet pedals, first the Boss then the Guyatone in flanger mode
(sorry, too much compression I think)

I love this flanger

and for how's interested, here's a comparison between the Boss ODB3 and the Marshall Guv'nor just to understand their different characters;
the Boss is modern sounding while the Guv has more middle punch (flat eq on the Guv)

the song is "Testify" by RATM, played with the fingers:
