Hi guys, Ive been debating whether to share my story or not, but it has a positive outcome, so here goes. Ive played guitar since 12 and played in several bands and gigged at a young age in the Boston clubs, and have always had it ok with life, but the last few years have been a little trying, my love of guitar( music man especially) have kept my spirits going, even when I became homeless for the last 3 1/2 months and me and my wife had to live in my car,I still found the time to find a quiet spot to sit and play my ax40 and homemade black and white frankie, even with my amp in the trunk and nowhere to plug in I would just use my I rig and plug into my tape deck in my 96 camry, damm thing sounded alright! Lol. Music always kept our spirits going, we are young people felt like everyday that horrible luck would change, but the sad truth is, it didnt. The first few weeks we thought " this aint so bad, at least we have each other" but as the weeks turned to months and the depressing fact of having to find a new life while sleeping in the car and having none of the comforts we all take for granted, without any living family or close friends we counted on each other to survive, and survive we did. This harrowing experience has made us infinitely stronger, and now I take nothing for granted, but now Im happy to say we are living well in the Boston area and have had an apartment since july 4, and now I can finally play my guitars and amp, and are writing music every day, my poor wife probably knows more about musicman than any other girl anywhere cause thats all I talked about! Lol! But all those nights I used to read this forum kep me going and kept my spirits high,I really hope I didnt bum anyone out I just have no other family to share my positive turnaround with, and even though we have a long way to go we are off on the right foot. Thanks for listening .
Thank you for your positive reminder that no matter how down and out we might be there's always a bit of glimmer and hope right around the corner. It's also a great reminder to us that we have this little niche in the deep corner of the internet were we have support in one another much like an extended family...
Congrats on the apartment and the great turn around... keep going strong.
