I recently tracked down a cool Morse. I recently did a pretty simple, very useful, mod...
I am not quite jiving with the guitar all the way, and am not sure yet about whether it will be a permanent addition to the stable, but this definitely helps...

I basically replaced the 3 way and two way toggle with a 5 way superswitch. The 3 way toggle and extra single coil function the same way. This, to me, combines the best elements of the y2d's easy switching, and the standard's versatility.

I had a killswitch where the original 2 way toggle was, but I took it out.

That's exactly what I would do if I got a standard Morse...which I will one of these days. That is such a cool piece, except for that ugly tort guard. Black pearloid would look so much better.

I will, at some point if I keep it, get a black pearloid guard so I don't have to keep using that silver plug where the switch was.

This mod is really easy and makes the guitar a lot easier for me to play.

That finish is killer. I still can't get used to the switching on my Morse and I've had it almost a year.

Where does one buy a 5-way super switch (?Who manufacture's them?)

On another note - I'm might be in the minority - I dig the switching on the Morse std...I use the bridge hum as a boost essentially instead of my pedals...so cool. The 5-way super switch would open alot of doors on my other (non-EBMM) guitars (not that I play them....ever....)
