Woah! But maple? My acoustic's a folk-sized box, and I don't think maple would work on it very well... Beautiful guitar, tho'!!

IMO, maple sounds great on dreds and jumbos, where the bass response can kick in. This guitar does not sound tinny at all. I have played/heard Taylor 6xx maples that sound great in grand auditorium or grand concert size, but I've also played/heard some that sounded tinny.

My Taylor 814ce is a grand auditorium with rosewood b&s. It sounds wonderful, nice & warm. The maple is brighter and should cut through the mix in a band situation better. Since it's a dred, it also has more volume and more bass response.
