Well I've seen Heinz(SR5), Heinz Jr.(SR4), So I guess I've acquired Heinz III.
I little back story.....this is the bass that got me wanting to play EBMMs. My next door neighbor used to work at Sam Ash & she custom ordered it. One day last year I got talking basses with her & she mentiond she had a MM. I told her I wasn't crazy about Stingray necks & preferred my Jazz bass neck. Then she explained that she had a Sterling & let me play it. Needless to say I went out the next day & bought one. So yesterday morning I get the call that money is a little tight over there & the bass is up for sale.......so I snagged it. It's been barely used & still has the film over the p/g & control cavity cover......sweeeeeeeeeet! :D

WOW. Ive never seen trans green on a Sterling. Many HATE that color, but for some reason Im so drawn to it. You should do something funky and tort it.

Congrats on a really cool score.

Wow I do love that colour - quite a family being built here! How many were there ever made in that colour? It seems to be quite rare!

That wasn't a negative comment, just a suggestion. What goes better with mustard than a hot dog? (For those of you that don't know, I believe that "Heinz" was named after Heinz mustard.)

You believe correctly. Nice Sterling!

Someone associated with the company that made our basses, and I'm not at liberty to say which company that is nor who the speaker was, although the company initials are "EBMM" and the speaker's intials were "BP", said this to me on the phone one night not long ago:

"Heinz? That was the ugliest finish we ever did, wasn't it?"

The man does know how to yank chains!

(He was laughing, of course.)

You look at that pic that Jack posted of Heinz and tell me that isn't the color of Heinz mustard! :D

But it's not... mustardy enough!

Don't know what kinda mustard you guys have in the USA, but here, Heinz mustard is yellow! :)

 I stand corrected! :D

It just looks much "greener" in natural light!

But he is very good looking... can't believe BP tried to wind you up by calling him ugly!
