I've wanted a Stingray for four years and now I finally have one, and a brand new one at that. It was Jack who told me "Get the Stingray Fool!" when I was considering an inferior bass. So thanks a bunch Jack for keeping my mind focused.

Anyways, it is truly an amazing bass. I had a hard time putting it down once I started playing it. That might be a big "problem" with finally having my dream bass. It is exactly the combination I wanted, Trans Red with a maple fretboard and black pickguard. Thanks for making such an outstanding product Big Poppa and staff.

Also, could I please get a DOB for it? The serial number is E48201.

And now the all-important picture…

You sure I didn't try to sell you a Bongo?

Nah, I loves me some Stingrays. Looks like you done good, man.

You do know that this will lead to other things, right?

Pretty bass. Very pretty.

That's one gorgeous bass, I would definitely consider trans-red for my next one, though shouldn't be saying that seeing as I've only just bought the 2nd! Luckily my girlfriend doesn't come around here.

Nice to see lots of new acquisitions recently, and none of them have been the new dual-pickup models (yet)! I don't think EB and co. need to worry about sales of the "old" models dropping off anytime soon then.

Very nice dude. It's like mine but for some strange reason mine is darker!!! I'm sure you'll spend sleepless nights hugging the bass ;)

Hi Rowyco,

Welcome to the forum!

Your StingRay in Trans Red with a maple neck was born on 1 September 2005 in San Luis Obispo, CA and was originally sold to Woodwind & Brasswind.

Enjoy!

Awwww.... It's baby Stringray's 1st Christmis. Nextyear, when he's old enough to ask about the tree, just be sure that he understands they are completely different species, no relation whatsoever, and that little StingRay will NOT just be unplugged and tossed out into the snow after the New Year's gig.

This is my natural SR4's first Christmas, too. :D
I used to tell my SR4 that it was natural, but somehow it found out it was adopted. Great piece of ash, though.

Thanks Beth. And that's what I call customer service :D . You don't get this kind of treatment when dealing with F*nder.
