Gigged with it Saturday and it's a dream to play. I had no idea that it would have so much tonal variety. Easily one of the best value's in guitars right now as far as being an "all around" type axe.

It weighs exactly 7.5lbs also. I forgot to jot down the serial # though. I'll do that tonight. It was "new", not used. I'm anxious to see how old it is though.

You really have to see this neck to appreciate it. I've not seen a lot of Super Sports in person, so maybe they all are this way. But mine has a beautiful Birds-eye to it, but on the top side, it's actually "quilted". It's unreal. And depending what light hits it when I'm playing, it'll actually give off almost a 3D glow. Amazing. And it's rosewood to boot!

Also, I didn't realize that the fret markers on the MM's were so little. I thought the dots would have been bigger.

I LOVE this baby!!

Congrats Jason! The Axis really is a great guitar in terms of tone and playability, as you've discovered... The neck figuring can vary pretty widely - I've got them from insanely figured to really plain-jane looking, but you've got a particularly nice one there, I think...
:D

Congrats!

I have to say that's the nicest blue dawn finish I've ever seen!

When I pick up somthing with larger dots now I think "How Huge". I like the little dots better now.

Same here.
When I look at a Fe#d-r I think it's brail for blind people or something. I think that is very nice of them to do! ;)

Thanks guys. My wife is starting to get used to being along side me as we sleep at night! :D
