I started a new trio with some of the areas better players (who knew I would be one of my areas better players?), Here are some songs that we are probably going to do.

We are also writing some new songs and will be working them in as well, probably in a 3 covers to 1 original for awhile to see if the songs are holding up.

We all sing too.

Guitarist's choices....

"Cocaine" - Eric Clapton
"No Excuses" - Alice in Chains (or anything else by them for that matter)
"Debaser" - The Pixies (not much of a jam, but a kick ass tune)
"Interstate Love Song" - Stone Temple Pilots
"Fire" - Jimi Hendrix
"Wish You Were Here" - Pink Floyd (maybe do this one without drums, and I'll play acoustic guitar and sing harmony?)

I don't see Sweet Home Alabama on there!!!!!

:hides:

Or Mustang Sally or Free Bird.......

BTW, I used to play with an absolutely amazing 18 year old drummer that was literally dead on Neil Peart's sound. We would play 2112 live and it was amazing. The crowd (friends and buddies.... who am I kidding.... 40 people!) loved it. Drums are the key though. If the drummer is off a bit, it sounds like crap.

"Cocaine" - Eric Clapton

If you play this, I or one of my friends will be obligated by law to hunt you down and beat the everlovin' crap out of you.

Look, I don't WANT to do it, but that's the law.

I suggested to the drummer that we do 'Bell Bottom Blues' instead of 'Cocaine'.

The Drummer is unbelievable, he was jazz drummer for local jazz cats and hold a degree in percussion. We are really lucky to have him. Apparently, he's been looking for a rock band for awhile, but couldn't find anyone on his level so to speak.

Which is really funny because that was the same problem we'd all been having in trying to find people to get a band going together.

It was blind luck that we all got together.
