Hi!
I'm a new member here, i'm from Israel, so my English is not so good.. :rolleyes:

Today I bought this new Stingray+Gibson hard case. :D
I need some information about this bass
Her serial number is under the bridge (?) and the number is 8242 (?!)

I have some pictures, but i don't have a site to uplode them. :confused:

Just 8242? Does it have "B00" before that? That would place it at around 1978.

It's not a 78

:)

six bolt neck, serial on bridge with mutes would suggest mid 90s.

In which case I'm guessing there's a "3" before that 8242

:)

28242 is too early for that truss rod, 48242 is too late for that battery cover.

38242 would be a 93, which is more likely given the birdseye neck.

You can send them onto me again if you like, and i'll replace the current pictures with the ones you take.

When you get the bass be sure to write the serial number down some place safe. A looker like that might come up missing some time and you will need to track it.

I'm with dlloyd :D

It has a "Flea" bridge fitted to Basses from circa 1992 to circa 1994. The first digit (hidden under the A string intonation screw) would have to be a "3". So the serial IMO is 38242 which makes it a mid 1993 Bass.

Edit: July/Aug 1993.
