You know, when I first joined this forum, I was a happy owner of a brand new Silhouette Special. I never would have guessed that in only two years, I would have four EBMM guitars and one bass. Prior to the Silo, I bought one electric guitar in nearly a 20 year span. I guess I am preaching to the choir about the addiction.

Again, two years ago when I was searching the MM site for guitars, I thought the Albert Lee guitars were the funkiest looking instruments I had ever seen! I finally found one at Guitar Center last year and then understood the fuss. It's such a great playing guitar. I don't play country, but I think I could really play the blues with it. Plus, I love the Blue Dawn color, so this was quite a find.

I picked this one up from Island Boy in the 'For Sale' Thread.... just before the lock. The guitar was just as MINT as he said. For all intents and purposes, this is a 'new' guitar. Thanks bro.

Now I gotta find a new band to play in so I can have fun with these guitars. At least I got to jam a few times with few different folks during Xmas vacation.... something has gotta come out of it right?

OK, enough of the rambling, here are the pics. (Some were taken by Island boy).

Nice bargain ya got there.

because of the Seasonal post the ALOC decoder ring, rule book and special handshake DVD will take a little time getting to ya.

It is an awesome guitar for the blues and the single coils are sublime.

Just re stringing one of mine for a party tonight.

I have been doing quite a bit of playing the last three days since receiving the AL. I have been A/B/C ing the two Silos and the AL between watching (USA) football games. I still feel the most comfortable with the Silhouette Special - it just fits like a glove. I think the 20th 'sounds' the best - the resonance on that guitar is unbelievable. However, I think I like the look of the AL the best.

The AL doesn't quite feel as natural as the Silos 'yet'. But, I can feel that this guitar (especially positions 2 & 4) would be killer for solos. Obviously, the blue sparkle color is beautiful. Of all the limited edition, Dargie, and anniversary models, I think I like the Blue Dawn the best. I can't wait to get a band going again so I can gig this bad boy. :)

Thats a great Al bro! Pretty as a picture too. In addition, welcome to the ALOC.
I think your going to grow into the Al. I know everytime I play mine it gets better and better. I was playing some Satch type stuff today on the Al. REally had some great distortion going. The pups are just awesome. Can be really clean or dirty as muddy water and nasty/gnarly too. I'm diggin' the lead pup alot. Don't think I will be playing the Sub1 with the SSS Silo Spec guard much anymore. Just really likin' my blue Al, and it's cool that they look so studly and different. I can see why Albert became attached.

I certainly thank Robelinda for giving me Al gas. Thanks Rob. He's absolutely correct too. Als Rule!
