I was wondering though..... I've played bass for nearly 20 years, this is my first new bass, and so worth the money, I couldn't put it down for 4 hours tonight. I have been playing 15 pound 7 string Conklins for the past 8 years and a 5 string Ibanez for the 8 years prior..... and a 4 string beater for my first year.... This feels like a toy compared to the 15 pound 7 strings I'm accustomed to. So good, but I notice the neck humbucker is lower than the bridge pickup....I thought it was because the tension allows more play toward the neck, so it's lower, and the bridge hum is higher because the string doesn't vibrate as much.... yes? no?

here are pics as I tried to show what Egyptian Smoke looks like and close up of the finish. I had such a hard time finding very well taken photos of the bongo in this color..... it's a 2010 Bongo, I requested this color and pick guard as I love the two, and they had left overs and they obviously did nice for me! Thank you everyone at Ernie Ball for making my first new bass absolutely amazing!

Very nice! You're pretty right on about the Humbucker heights (sounds like a city). Also the lower neck H helps prevent too much signal boost when playing up on the higher frets (like above 12 or so... hold your bass at an angle and press the strings down at the higher frets and you can see how they will be about the same distance from both pickups). Enjoy that beast!
