Hi,
Just received my new beautiful baby and recorded a quick dorian improv on two nice chords.

demo.ovh.com

The mix just took a few minutes, I am not familiar with that kind of recording, but it's an amazing guitar, with a hell of a sound and a second to none playability. I just love it !

Nice guitar - congratulations!

I agree that the piezo sound is excellent - it is one of the best features on the guitar (and that's saying something). To be able to go from an acoustic passage to all-out sonic mayhem with the flip of a switch/amp is brilliant.

Haha, I am so sorry man, it wasn't my point :D

But I can say one thing: never in my life, I played with so much passion because of the guitar I was playing on. It's the first time, ever. The simple fact that you can play on your favourite instrument but with a wonderful acoustic sound just makes you a better player.

The JP6 is a true dream, a guitar coming from another world to lead our fingers to the best they can do.

Argh... the more I read this thread the worse I feel... there are butterflies in my stomach just thinking about my new axe. Going to sleep - maybe that will help!

Thanks !

Yeah, I really insist on this, that's how it sounds. Guitar plugged directly into the soundcard (PreSonus Firebox), just a small reverb, some comp and some eq to make the solo part stand out a bit. Plus it was my first mix with an acoustic sound ever, so I can't imagine what a pro could do... awesome.

I have always been using Cubase SX3.

But Cubase LE comes with the Firebox some it shouldn't be a problem to make it work with the soundcard.

Yeh.. I can't get Cubase LE to record properly with the Firebox, but it works fine with Windows Sound Recorder!

Anyhow, this isn't the Cubase/Firebox forum, so that will be the last I say of it.

i'm kicking myself now i didnt get a DD AL roburado! i wasnt keen at the time on a DD AL.

actually, i kinda think the AL is more vinatgy and classic, and thought the DD inlays would look better on a Silo, or Luke. and i reckon the trans colours kick ass on the AL, rather than the solid colours. back when i ordered the DD i had my heart set on a honeyburst AL and was going to order one, but then the DD came along, and i wanted a Silo Special SSS really badly too, so i went with that, figuring the honeyburst AL could be gotten anytime.

still hangin to play a silo special SSS! not long now!
