I just got a Majesty guitar and have a problem. When I play it for about an hour, it starts shutting down. It just goes silent. If I pull out the guitar cable and put it back in it will work the first couple of times, but then after that, I have to leave it unplugged for a few minutes for it to come back on, then it repeats the process of dying. Anyone have a clue as to what this might be? Guitar is brand new. Cables are new as well.

New batteries corrected the issue. Since the guitar is only a month old, I am surprised they were dead, but who knows.
I will see how long the new ones last if I keep the guitar cable unplugged when not in use.
Thanks all.....

Batteries should last a long time with cable unplugged. I usually replace the battery on my Luke II every six months even if it's now 8 months and I forgot to replace it, might work up to 12 months easily, really based on how much the cable is connected to the guitar.

If you leave it plugged in the battery will certainly die much quicker. Unplug when not playing and you will get a lot of life out of the battery.
