Just wanted to say hi. I am now a MMSR5 owner. I love the bass and enjoying this site and forum.

I wonder how so I go about finding out about my serial number E38685? I would like to know the build date and things like that.

I am really loving this bass. And basically want to get to know some of my fellow MM worshippers.

Welcome to the board. Can you post pics of your bass? We'd all love it if you did.

The dealer says it is the Egyptian smoke finish with the abalone pick gaurd. I think it looks a little more grey than what the color chart shows the Egyptian smoke to be.

No matter is a good looking good playing bass. I won't be playing my Fender's very often now :)

I thought the silica packs were to eat just so one wouldn't sweat on their shiny new MM. :0)

Thanks all I waited a long time for this bass. My wife bought it for me and blew me away. Now the SR5 is blowing me away I love the sounds this thing produces.

Thanks. Is it possible you can verify that it is Egyptian smoke in color?

Bovine told me it looked like it from the pics so it probably is but to me it looks more like graphite in color and not as brown as on the color chart.

Thanks again

Thanks I had thought they were wrong at the store I bought it from. And it is a beautiful bass. You guys that built this can be very proud of your product.

It is totally awesome.
