I'd call it woodstock.. then put a little sticker of the peanuts character in between the pickups...

Beautiful basses, can you till me what the single coil does soundwise. I had a sterling at one time, wish I had never sold it.

I'm sure others here can be more technical and specific. But the single coil seems to provide me with all of the sounds my Sterling H had and more. Switch position 1 is equivalent to switch position 3 on the Sterling H (it runs in series only). Position 2 is the same as the Sterling H. With the switch in the center position it provides a very full sound. In the 4 position it sounds like a J bass to me. In the 5 position like a P bass. And I might add without the hum associated with the J and P basses.

I really loved the sound of the Sterling H and didn't think anything could beat it. But I am extremely happy with the Sterling HS. The only thing I loose is the parallel setting for the H pickup.

Now that is nice. I bought mine a couple of days ago, its amazing sounding. Mine is identical to the one Mondoken bought. I must say I like the color of your better, but As soon as I played mine at Guitar Center the other day, I had to have it, even if it was flourescent yellow! lol
