Well here are my twins...the black one just arrived!
Raz said:As far as registering it, its brand new but I bought it off Ebay...is it still cool?
Raz said:Thank-you, and it plays and sounds just as sweet...kinda makes me regret that late night 7 string Wayne custom purchase![]()
jim friar said:Wayne as in one of the new Wayne Charvel guitars ? Did you get that in Ottawa ? What store has them ? Like it ?
Jimi D said:Hey Raz, congrats on your new SUB! If you don't mind me asking - and for the edification of your fellow Canucks - what was the $$ damage on delivery for taxes and brokerage fees?
A Wayne seven too? Did you win the lottery or something?![]()
I had a lot of fun with my Universes - I owned three over a period of about five years, and it was a kick to pull them out and play them from time to time, but I never seriously used them, and the novelty factor of the seventh string eventually wore off, and I let the last one go about three years ago... They're cool guitars, but not very comfortable to play with those huge necks, at least if you have a Hendrix thumb-over style of playing like meRaz said:As far as the Wayne goes...I didn't sleep the night I purchased it, and I still feel all wierd inside my stomach...credit, unfortunately can be an evil friend...but the way I look at it is I can't lose...if I can't keep it, I'm sure I can find it a new home...but my balls stay with me forever!
Well to the best of my knowledge, comparison wise, I would say they are like an entry level Silhoutte...I mean they have that Srat-like shape. As far as the guitar itself goes, for the money, nothing comes close...even American made guitars which are more expensive. I have a Wolfie with a Dimebag Duncan and I find the stock pups in my Sub 1 sound warmer and cleaner, yet very crunchy and full of character. The action on my Sub 1 is incredible, and the locking machine heads...man you cannot get better than this...changing strings is like changing underwear...man I'll never by another nut-lock floyd again...jeesh!jakedog said:Ok, I'm not stupid or anything, but I can't find alot of info on these Sub Guitars, and I certainly haven't located one to play around here, so I have to ask, what is a "Sub"? My first thought was that it was a baritone or somthing but the scale looks normal in the pictures. I've seen the sub basses too, and the main difference appears to be the satin finish and the pickguards.
Could somebody please educate me on the differences between these guitars, and the other models?
Jake
Like i said in another thread, i was ripped off on Ebay for $ 1200,00, that was five months ago, and the axe did not arrive till nowJimi D said:As for Ebay, it can be evil! If you look at the "gone guitars" section of my website, most of those axes came off Ebay over the years... It's a funny thing, the only guitars I've purchased off of Ebay and kept, have been my EBMMs...
