My new workhorse guitar for 2014 - Luke

Luke, Luke Blue with HSS EMG pickups.

Already done four gigs with it within a week and done two recordings so far. Spreading the gospel of EBMM guitars here in the San Francisco South Bay. Fun guitar! I have other musicians approach me and ask about the guitar and the sound -- this Luke and a Bogner Shiva is a killer combination.

Luke blues are cool in that the color changes per light source and lights, stage or back home. Ever-morphing guitar color.

I was indeed curious if an EMG HSS pickup config could handle soul/R&B/funk music that I played last weekend but the guitar is so versatile it did that with flying colors.

Congrats! Not surprised about your soul/R&B/funk experiences. The EMG pickups, especially the single coils, in the Luke are amazing.

Yep. And I could still crank the EMGs up for rock gigs and the neck pickup works really well for bluesy sounds. A real workhorse!
