It gets more and more difficult to state a non-offensive
opinion on this forum without some long winded, EBMM
ass-kissing, ridiculous, rebuttal. Everyone's different so
you can't make everyone happy. I think EBMM / BP is
doing a great thing that will make the majority happy.

Oh, and I hate the new Chevy Malibu, they should never
have changed the old model

Now that's rich! Your's is an opinion of your own and those that disagree are ass-kissers!?!?! I think that is awfully disrespecful to some of the good people here who's opinions you have benefitted from in the past.
 
I'm awfully tempted to reduce this thread back to its original intentions.

Did I miss the part where the single pu Ray is being discontinued? Oh, it's not? Our favorite bassmaker is giving us MORE options, not fewer. What am I missing?
 
I'll agree with the majority of posts. If you dont like the 2 pickup idea then don't buy one. I think they should still be called a StingRay/Sterling because of the body shape, and of course, the necks.

Wow - what a "diverse" thread...
  • I can see a 2pup Sterling in my future (way into my future!)
  • We can split-hairs on these being new models or options. For me, the left-handed versions are new models and the various pick-up choices being made available are more like options. Overall, there are more choices.
  • More choices is GOOD. So long as I can choose the bass for me and you can choose the bass for you, it's all good.
  • We should all feel free to express our opinion, whether it's in the majority or the minority. I would like to think EBMM appreciates all feedback, positive, negative or indifferent. And let's remember that they're just OPINIONS - no matter how strongly they're stated. No one person's OPINION should offend another.
  • And, of course, give us more of the Malibu Girl... ;)

& far, far, away from what I'm about.
 
Things are easily misinterpreted without face-to-face contact, visual clues and a few drinks on the table.
