Having just sold a Stratus Blue Sparkle JP7 because I did not play it, I was psyched to find out about this model issue and immediately found one on order and locked it up.

Man, I don't mean to criticize your choices, but I couldn't imagine selling a Stratus Blue JP7 due to its seeming rarity. But...you know, it's your guitar and your money and your circumstances. I totally understand that.

You got some sweet guitars, man. Now, you're getting another one.

Looks like that was the only 7 stringer in his stable. Probably never used it or got used to playing with the extra string. That's what happened to me. My 7 just sits in it's case all the time now. Just guessing.

Mike - welcome! Very nice collection you've got there.

Yeah. Like I said, I understand. Going to have to sell some cool stuff that I just don't use to fund some GAS.

Congrats on the score mike....I too have been contemplating what to get, and i know that my local dealer has a LE JP6 on order due i believe in june or july i think..well i did ask him if i can put something down to lock in and he said no problem.....You got some sweet guitars there, and i also have a black sparkle fully loaded that i absolutly love...So i think my other 2 Pets need a companion.

wow thats a brave move! Stratus Blue sparkle is freekin AMAZING! so rare it seems, Blue Dawn is nowhere near as good IMO. But hey someone will be very happy to own your Stratus Blue!

+1

That stratus blue is just awesome.
BD doesn't compare, the best part fades into the dark burst / outline !
(More relevant on the JP's)

Since my last post I remembered seeing DaveB's pics, plus this other one of JP :

Still a sensational combo....... I think it's just the lack of definition/contrast of the horns that sways my vote in favour of the Stratus Blue.

Mike, great collection...... If that Stratus Blue was a JP6, it'd be on it's way to my house........

Then again, I'm guessing you probably wouldn't have sold it ! :)

I just couldn't believe it when I saw it on eBay. It's my favorite sparkle color ever with the Blue Dawn and the Autumn Redrise. Same thing here: JP6 = it was mine :p

Looks like you have a hell of an awesome rig. Nice Mesa and Marshall cabs, I totally dig that color for the tolex.
