Nice! That's the first 08 LE Petrucci I've seen without the piezo and JP inlays. Very cool! Is the other JP black or Sapphire Black? And they both sound amazing through the Dual Recto I bet. Perfect tone combination haha. I'm about to buy a Rectoverb, so I can join the Mesa club haha.

It is actually a little brighter sounding than the LE, maybe due to gold being a softer metal?


i had tried alot of amps at the store, stilletto, 5150 evh, the lone star, and the dual recto was the best.

I just finished wiring in a 59 model seymour duncan in the bridge in the ibanez.

I was supposed to goto the store to try out a BFR JP that came in on monday, but all the guys in the store tried it, raved about it, and it got sold yesterday, damn-it..........

Well I don't know if the metal is actually gold, just colored gold. But I think it has to do with natural organic differences in the wood. And if the black one has the plastic backplates rather than the new metal ones, that may have something to do with it too.
