Somehow, the piezo switch on my JP6 has broken. It's very hard to switch and it "wants" to be in the piezo only-position. It's hard to push it down to piezo and magnetic and it's very hard to switch to just magnetic. I have no idea how this happened.

Is there something I can do, or do I have to take it to a guitar tech and replace the switch?

You'll most likely have to replace the switch. When they break they tend to stick to one side.

If it's under warranty, CS can arrange to have it done for you. If not, you can get the part ordered (via CS, your local EBMM dealer or aftermarket; it's a common switch) and it's a quick replacement, either by yourself (if you're happy soldering) or a tech. Shouldn't be very expensive.

I fitted a replacement piezo switch on mine.
It's not a difficult job to do - you have to slacken off the neck pickup as the piezo wire shares the same cavity.
Soldering iron - solder and jobs a good 'un!!
