My poor old bass has had a hard life!!!
It was born 26/11/90 and eventually fell into the hands of some punker who thought it was a great idea to rip out the orig pup n elecs and throw them in the bin while replacing them with some horrid pnj style pups and elecs. He decided it sounded like crap and sold it. I bought it with very little knowledge of the fact i cant buy oem equip from EB. I put in a Basslines pup and elecs and hand made a scratch plate. Im not overly happy with the sound. Now im wondering what i can replace to make it sound better.......

Do i wait in vain for a secondhand set of elecs and a pup to come on the market or is there some other pup and elecs i can buy that will do the job???

EB will sell you a pickguard.

It will be hard to find original electronics.

I'd keep an eye out on eBay. They turn up there every now and then. eBay will let you save a search key and will email you when something matching is listed.

I'd replace that PG. If all else fails, maybe look into getting a Seymour Duncan pup. They're closest to EB's sound if anyone is.

I just finished reading a thread about a Bart pup. It was stuck in my head.
