About six or seven months ago, I got a Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II and Neo 212. I love the rig, but was wanting to take advanatge of the 1001s power at 4 ohms, so I just added a Neo 115.

The 15 sounds great and really fills out the rig. Its pretty compact for a stack and the Neo cabs are pretty light. Not to mention it is LOUD!! 700 watts through 2 12s and a 15 makes me smile. :D

Travis,

That's a happennin' stack. Congrats, man! I like how compact it is, too. It makes my back feel a little better just looking at that. ;)

Gosh...! All your fans will get deaf...so you'll have to get something bigger, to make them feel the sound. Very nice rig (very pricy also, isn't it ?).

GK stuff is actually pretty affordable. Travis is an endorsee though, so he gets them with a nice discount. :D

Andrew

I agree. GK is very affordable. I think its a great value in terms of bang for buck.

I have used the following amps/and or cabs: Ampeg, Fender, Trace Elliott, and Eden, but I really found my sound when I found the GK stuff.

I am also very fortunate to have a relationship with a company whose products I really believe in. GK treats you like gold, and Dan and Gene(A&R at GK) really make sure that youre satisfied.

Thats looking really nice. Has anyone ever told you that you look like Dominic Howard from Muse? Its quite scary... Well, maybe not that scary, but there is a likeness there.

Nice rig, Travis. Pity GK don't have a clothing line as well :p

Wow...A clothing insult from Aussie Mark.

I don't think there is any recovery--I mean, Mark knows ugly clothes. :D

Nice rig, Travis. 2x12 and 1x15 isn't too woofy?

Jason,

Surprisingly the 212 and 115 combonation isnt too woofy. The Neo cabs are realy smooth sounding cabs across the freq spectrum, and that speaker config sounds great.

The Neo 115 isnt your typical 15. Much quicker than many others Ive played and very present in the upper midrange and even in the highs. I even use it as a stand alone when I do small church gigs.

And Mark. I laughed very hard at your clothing comment. Especially coming from the man with a paisley shirt to match his paisley bass. :D :p

Doug,

Im not sure of the "sale prices" but I do have a list of retail prices. Since youre in the music store biz you can probably ballpark a price.

Retail for the above rig is:

1001RB-II - $999
Neo212 - $849
Neo115 - $698

Total retail for my rig - $2546.00

I know cats who have payed that in sale prices for rigs that I dont think sound as good as mine. If you have tried the new Neo cabs you know that they are some of GKs finest work ever. Many pros are moving to GK as a reult of them. In fact Norm Stockton is now playing the same rig I have pictured.
