Hi,
The UPS is really disappointing. Ive been waiting for the SR5 which is supposed to be delivered today, but then untill now I still havent received it. WHen I called the UPS, they said it might be loaded to the wrong. The point is I wont be able to see the bass today, maybe tomorrow.

Just to share...

Interesting. Can you file a complaint or something? Personally, I would do my best to be a bitch about it and continuously pursue UPS until they provide a refund or some sort of consolation.

Speaking of shipping, how many of you have had experiences with FedEx?

All my experiences with them have been pleasant - they've always shipped one, two, and even three days ahead of schedule and early in the day. UPS, on the other hand, ships on time (that sounds great, but compared to my experiences with FedEx, shipping "on time" is rather late :p ) and usually comes around to my place at around 6:00 PM.

Yeah thats what I experienced with fedex too. With UPS, they will hold the package until the scheduled time arrived, even though it arrives at the station 3 days prior to the schedule delivery date. Unfortunately chucklevins uses UPS for the freight.

Ive talked to the UPS, but they cant do much about it. The only thing is just wait until tomorrow. I think I will just pick the bass up in the customer counter.

Can you imagine? Wait for 3 months for the SR5, and ive been waiting the whole day at home just for it to arrives but then... :(

I think the best I've ever experienced was DHL. I ordered my blue bass from western Canada at 6pm and it was at my house the next morning at 10:30. It was a shocking but pleasant surprise...

Did you tell the people at UPS what it was you were waiting for? I believe if they knew, they would have got it to you ASAP! Again, on the other hand maybe they DID know what it was and are just giving it a "good ol' set up".

Sounds good but it would never happen. UPS is way too big and systematic to find and special deliver a lost or delayed package. About the best you can hope for is a refund on the shipping if it comes late. :(

you know what i would do
wait at home for ups tp arrive, when the man comes up to your door jump out and stab him in the face with a saudering iron.
then when hes on the ground screaming say
"let that be a lesson to all you mothers dont **** with a mans patientnce and his bass at the same time"
then call ambulance and drive away to mexico where you will live the rest of your days, ironicly as a ups driver.

That mean after I get a Bongo I will lose my thrill for new basses?

I might get rid of my GAS but I highly doubt I will lose my sheer enjoyment from getting a fine bass to play. Makes playing fun.

I imagine even our illustrious ( oh boy bad spelling) Bovine enjoys more of getting a new bass than he lets on :)

Can't wait until they get a Bongo in the local store here. Well I can the SR 5 pretty well got my spare change if ya know what I mean.

I think also UPS is no longer the bad guys in this thread. Who wouldn't forgive and forget after getting their hands on something as wonderful as a new SR 5?
LOL
