here's pics of my sterling jp50
it looks nice but why do the sterling JPs (also OLP had it) these ugly big Les-Paul-style 3-way-toggles. The mini switch the EBMM JP has is a lot nicer.
Is this e price issue?
it's what is commonly available without having to tool up for a new part. Everytime we have to make a new part, we have to pay a lot of money to get it designed, get samples, then place the order. It all adds up. Much more cost effective to use this style of switch. The whole point of this line was to meet a certain price point and still retain most of the vibe and feel of the USA versions. We can't expect every detail to match the USA guitars.
Thanks for your info!
I mean it´s ok as it´s mainly a cosmetic thing... Priority of course is to produce good quality for a good price. I´m not looking for a Sterling right now, but if I would buy one I could change the switch. So this is not really a big thing. Just wondered...
The switch may not be in the way anymore, but your left with that ugly hole.
